The anthropological record, analysis of ancient human remains, comparative anatomy and our physiology point to humans as naturally being apex meat eaters and scavengers. We can survive on a variety of foods, but what actually produces optimal health for humans.
This three week seminar is an opportunity to explore an diet based exclusively on eating animal foods. Some refer to this as a carnivore diet and adopt it for the long term. Others use this diet as a therapeutic elimination diet in the process of discovering what foods negatively effect their health.
The largest challenge of these three weeks is questioning everything that you have been taught in our society about the benefits of “eating a balanced diet,” “consuming plant medicines and phytochemicals,” the dangers of meat, the need for fiber in your diet, having “three square meals” and on and on.
We will use the app VOXER to give all participants a text and/or voice option to communicate with the group about their challenges and successes and for us to share hacks and solutions to issues that come up. We will also have a weekly Zoom session to review the experiences of the week, discuss the next week’s schedule and to teach why we are doing what we are doing and what is happening in our bodies as we eliminate plant toxins from our systems.
