Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) uses replicas of our natural sex hormones (as opposed to novel synthetic hormones or hormones from other species) to supplement reduced and lost hormone production as we age or due to surgical removal of hormone producing organs. This therapy can help alleviate a wide variety of problems ranging from mood disturbances, hair and skin aging, loss of libido, muscle loss (sarcopenia) and bone loss (osteopenia and osteoporosis). We will talk about how male and female hormones are tested, supplemented/replaced, and monitored for safety
